About Us

Sponsored by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Safe & Drug-Free Schools, the National Clearinghouse for the Teaching of Character in Educator Preparation Programs (Character Ed Prep) promotes discussion and disseminates information about character education training in educator preparation programs across the nation.  We began in 2003 with the Character Ed Prep Symposium, which featured Linda McKay, Kevin Ryan, Ed DeRoche, Darcia Narvaez and Helen Stiff-Williams.  You can listen to what they had to say by following the links below.  Depending on your connection speed, choose the High or Low bandwidth option.
